wasl properties launches ‘Zayed Ramadan Competition’

wasl properties celebrates the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan with its tenants by launching the ‘Zayed Ramadan Competition’ for talented kids, which seeks to showcase the creativity of children between the ages of four and 13, and reward them by offering valuable prizes as part of the ‘Year of Zayed’ initiative.

Zainab Mohammed, Chief Property Management and Marketing Officer at wasl properties, commented: “This competition carries many valuable meanings and aims to highlight the spirit of generosity of this holy month, as well as celebrate the ‘Year of Zayed’ and the embodiment of the unique teachings of the Founding Father. At wasl, we encourage all our tenants to express their artistic talents and we will reward those who are able to best draw inspiration from the wonderful Ramadan atmosphere that characterises our city."

The ‘Zayed Ramadan Competition’ is now in its eighth annual edition and this year’s challenge is designed for children to express their support and love of the ‘Sheikh Zayed’ initiative in a creative way for the chance to win the weekly prize, a Nintendo Switch. Artworks will be uploaded to http://ramadan.wasl.ae to be voted on by the public and judged by the wasl committee. By the end of Ramadan, one winner out of the four weekly prize winners will be awarded the grand prize: a scholarship tuition of up to AED 25,000.

For those who are over the age of 13, the ‘Ramadan Instagram Photography Competition’ invites them, even non-wasl tenants, to share photographs expressing the true spirit of the holy month on Instagram by using ‘#waslRamadan2018’ and mentioning @waslgroup. Each entrant can upload an unlimited number of photos, and the wasl committee will decide which lucky participant will win one of four Apple TVs on a weekly basis that are up for grabs during the competition.

Zainab concluded: “We welcome all participants in this unique competition, which is being catered to be a social activity that allows us to communicate with each other using modern methods, and that provides us with an atmosphere of joy throughout Ramadan. On behalf of all of us at wasl, we wish all participants and everyone else success and happiness.”
