Dubai, UAE, June 27, 2015: wasl properties has entered into the spirit of Ramadan with the supply of Iftar meals for a number of its tenants and labors in Dubai. The property management division of wasl Asset Management Group has joined with charitable institution Beit Al Khair to distribute daily fast-breaking suppers at Muhaisnah, Ras al khor and Al Quoz.
“wasl is an integral part of the fabric of the UAE and such is keen to play an active community role at this special time of year. We are delighted to be able to contribute to the essence of Ramadan in a small way through the provision of Iftar meals for our tenants and labours at three locations across Dubai,” said Zainab Mohammed, CEO Property Management and Marketing, wasl Asset Management Group.
wasl's initiative sees it working in collaboration with Beit Al Khair to provide daily Iftar meals to around 200 tenants at its properties in Muhaisnah and around 150 tenants at its Samari Residences in Ras al Khor. The food is being served in tents that have been equipped with coolers to provide welcome respite from the heat. wasl’s activity also involves the handing out of meals to about 1200 labours located in Al Quoz, with construction personnel benefitting from the free food on offer each Friday throughout the holy month.
Established in 1990, the Beit Al Kheir Society is a leading UAE charitable organisation. It has a long-standing relationship with wasl as part of the company’s comprehensive CSR programme that has been designed to assist all segments of society. wasl’s past collaborations with Beit Al Khair have included taking orphaned children on fun days out and charity collection of used clothes in our properties.
