[Dubai, UAE, June 18, 2015] – Wasl tenants in Dubai have the chance to showcase their creative skills and win big this Ramadan, thanks to a holy month competition organised by the company. The annual activity from Dubai’s leading property management and development company - a subsidiary of Wasl - gives all generations of Wasl tenants the opportunity to reveal their artistic flair, with those winners selected by members of the public receiving significant prizes for their efforts.
“Once again, we are delighted to announce the annual Ramadan competition for our tenants of all ages that has been designed to celebrate their artistic talents and bestow some top giveaways for the best entrants,” said Abdulla Ishaq - Head of Leasing & Customer Service Department, Wasl. “The holy month is a time of year where families spend quality time together and Wasl is keen to use this period of reflection to promote worthwhile family activities that honour and reward creativity,” he added.
Wasl's contest for its younger tenants is its Ramadan Painting Competition, which is now in its fifth year. Under the terms of the activity, Wasl tenants up to 13 years of age are encouraged to paint and draw what they see around them, uploading their entries to the website http://ramadan.wasl.ae. The submissions are then voted on by visitors to the site, with one winner each week receiving a valuable weekly prize. At the end of the holy month, one winner out of the four selected over the course of the competition will be awarded a grand prize tuition scholarship to use towards their school fees.
“We are fortunate enough to have some extremely talented young artists residing in wasl properties and we want to pay tribute to and recognise their skills with a number of prizes for the very best offerings, as judged by members of the public. One overall winner will receive a substantial contribution to their tuition in the form of a cash award, which can be used to nurture their abilities and help set them up for the future,” said Ishaq.
The Wasl’ contest for its adult tenants is the Ramadan Instagram Photography Competition, with tenants over the age of 13 years invited to capture their interpretation of the true meaning of the holy month. They are then required to upload their results on Instagram using #waslRamadan2015 and mentioning @waslgroup. Each entrant can upload an unlimited number of photos, with the best as judged by members of the public receiving a prize. A total of four prizes are available to win over the course of the competition.
“As with each year, we are expecting a high standard of entries for both our Ramadan Painting Competition for children and the Ramadan Instagram Photography Competition, which is open for older members of the family. The results will be voted on by visitors to our website, so each winner will know that their entries have received approval from the widest number of voters,” added Ishaq.
