[Dubai, UAE, September 9th, 2013] – In response to the high demand for villas in Jumeirah’s Al Badaa, district - one of Dubai’s oldest and most prestigious locations - Wasl has announced that it will complete 90 four-bedroom villas as part of ‘Wasl 90’, its newest residential development in the area. The completion of the project is scheduled for November, 2013.
The latest tranche of property being added to the Wasl portfolio will be located off Al Wasl Road, a major artery running through the heart of Jumeirah. Al Badaa forms part of an affluent community in the locale and is home to a network of schools, services, high-end restaurants and boutique-style shopping outlets. The villas are located near two major parks, Jumeirah Beach Park and Al Safa Park, which further contribute to the area’s appeal.
“Wasl 90 serves to reinforce our commitment to offer high-quality living to our customers and addresses a robust demand for modern family homes in Jumeirah,” said Mohammed Al Hashimi, Project Manager, Project Management Department, Wasl. “Jumeirah has long been a coveted destination for those seeking community and convenience and the extra housing will provide more people with the opportunity of living in one of Dubai’s most sought-after vicinities,” he added.
The 90 villas include eight upgraded properties which boast private swimming pools and large landscaped gardens complete with stepping stone pathways and wooden gazebos. Each villa features several balconies, separate maid’s quarters, a laundry and storage facility and a private roofed garage. The development employs 24-hour security and hosts a number of amenities, including a club house for recreational and sports facilities, two separate gents and ladies gymnasia and a common swimming pool. There is also a children’s play area and communal landscaped gardens.
Wasl is particularly proud to highlight the local partnerships it forged within this project, along with the green initiatives it has incorporated. Dubai-based Al Arif Contracting were employed in the construction process, with Arif & Bintoak, also from Dubai, being consulted for the architecture and design. Among the eco-friendly systems and devices utilised were energy-saving light bulbs, air-conditioning units that use 60 per cent less energy than standard models and specially designed taps and faucets that minimise the wastage of water.
“A development as large as Wasl 90 at Al Badaa will have a hugely beneficial effect for the community. The local economy will receive a significant boost, with jobs being created in the service industries and facilities and amenities opening up to cater for new residents,” said Al Hashimi. “At Wasl, we ensure we utilise local contractors as far as possible and support local businesses as a part of our company ethos. Our positive impact extends to implementing a green philosophy during the construction process - we optimise the use of environmentally-friendly technology and incorporate energy-saving amenities to reduce our ecological footprint,” he added.
Wasl currently owns and leases 388 villas in Al Badaa area with an occupancy rate of 100 percent. The organisation is committed to offering the highest level of service to cater to its growing number of tenants across more than 25,000 units. The new development joins a growing portfolio of residential and commercial projects planned for the near future.
