Dubai, UAE, March 25, 2014: Wasl, one of the largest real estate companies in Dubai and a subsidiary of Wasl, has announced the completion of a new project in Muraqqabat, Deira. Aptly named Wasl trio, the three-block mixed-use building has been specifically designed to modernise the traditional areas of Dubai by complementing it with modern residential, retail and hospitality facilities.
Wasl trio’s first block consists of 84 serviced apartment units comprising studios, one and two-bedroom apartments and a ground-floor retail area of more than 8,320 square feet. The second block is a four-star hotel containing 210 rooms, while the third is designated for residential and retail use, offering a total of 133 one, two and three bedroom apartments for tenants and a retail area of 28,300 square feet on the ground floor.
The four-star hotel acts as the focal point of the project supporting the Dubai government’s vision in providing mid-range hotels to cater to the expected increase in demand for this type of accommodation as well as diversifying the city’s hospitality portfolio in the years leading up to 2020 when the global event EXPO 2020 will take place. The project also represents Wasl’s commitment to partnering with renowned international hotel operators known for their unique services and world-class standards.
“Wasl is proud to announce the completion of its latest real estate offering, Wasl trio. This project is an example of our commitment to launching mixed-use developments to modernise and re-energise the older parts of Dubai,” said Zainab Mohammed, General Manager, Property Management, Marketing & Communications, at Wasl. “Wasl trio sets a new benchmark for premises located in the city’s traditional areas that are appointed with the most up-to-date features and amenities,” she added.
Launched under the tagline ‘Superior Living in the heart of Deira,’ the residential and retail facility’s exterior includes cascade glass frontages and recessed balconies, with interior aspects including textured walls that complement the marble flooring. Shopping convenience is a major feature of the development, with the available retail spaces ranging from 530 to 4300 square feet. A large percentage of the third block’s ground floor-shopping area has already been leased out to a well-established supermarket which will be the development’s anchor tenant and will cater to the needs of the residents of the area.
“Wasl trio is reurbanising an area of the city that we should rightfully be proud of. Deira is rich in history and is the traditional commerce hub of the city. Wasl trio offers modern lifestyle options complete with advanced facilities, amenities, services and convenience. It adds a new dimension to the urban tapestry of Dubai,” said Zainab Mohammed.
Over the next two years, Wasl aims to complete a number of real estate projects which will encompass apartments, villas and retail units. The company also expects to complete several hospitality projects across many areas of Dubai in support of this vital sector and in line with the overall development of the city.
